I had a dream i went on a school trip with adults i know in my waking life. my bff cousin was there and my ex bff was also there. the trip was pleasant but also a maze. at the end on our way out the maze started falling apart. our cars were parked at a gas station and i went to get my car. the gas station was attached to a parking garage but it was a hotel built out like a parking garage. as we were standing by the gas station the men were playing with a soccer ball and it went underneath a car. a child went to get the soccer ball and the car hit the child while the child was still trying to get the soccer ball. the car stopped and the child was okay. the men were upset and i started running into the parking garage. a man i know followed and ran past me to the top of the garage and started shooting everyone there. i quickly ran down a garage level to escape the shooting. the dream then changed from a parking garage to a hotel section plus a lecture hall section. we were hiding as people were coming around and shooting people. i couldnt leave the place but i could hide. hiding was difficult as they were thorough when shooting. it soon turned into a lecture hall and a teacher came in teaching. we were seated at the back of the hall on the highest seat with a blanket over us. then it changed into a type of dice game where i rolled a dice or picked a card and moved physically moved that number of spaces throughout the game. each section of the game had different people i know in my waking life. i woke up about halfway through the game.
Dreams can be complex and often reflect various aspects of our psyche, emotions, and experiences. Here are some potential interpretations of the elements in your dream:
School Trip with Adults: A school trip often symbolizes learning, exploration, and personal growth. The presence of adults you know could indicate that you are seeking guidance or approval from those figures in your life. This might also suggest a blend of childhood experiences (school) with your current adult reality.
Maze: A maze typically represents confusion, complex situations, or feeling lost in life. Since you described the trip as pleasant but mazelike, it might suggest that your current situation, although enjoyable, involves challenges or uncertainties that you need to navigate.
Car and Gas Station: Cars in dreams often symbolize personal control and direction in life. The gas station might suggest a need to refuel or recharge. The setting changing from a gas station to a hotel/parking garage indicates transitions in your life, perhaps relating to your goals and how you are handling personal or social relationships.
Soccer Ball and Child: The soccer ball and the child might represent playfulness and innocent pursuits. The incident of the child getting hit could reflect concerns about safety or vulnerability, either in yourself or someone you care about. It might symbolize the unexpected consequences of seeking something (like the ball) in life.
Shooting and Hiding: Violence in dreams often points to feelings of danger, fear, or anxiety in waking life. The act of hiding suggests that you might feel threatened in some area of your life or that you are trying to avoid confrontations or difficult situations. The changing environment from a garage to a hotel/lecture hall could symbolize shifting perceptions of safety and control.
Lecture Hall: A lecture can imply the process of learning, receiving knowledge, or being observed. It might indicate that you are in a phase of personal development or that you are seeking wisdom about your current circumstance.
Dice Game: The dice game aspect introduces a sense of chance and unpredictability in your life. It suggests that you might feel like you are taking risks or that your future is uncertain, and you are trying to navigate it like a game—making choices and hoping for the best outcome.
Overall, your dream seems to reflect a mix of personal growth, navigating complex social dynamics, and confronting fears or anxieties related to safety and control in your life. It may be beneficial to reflect on specific situations or relationships in your waking life that could relate to these themes, allowing you to gain further insight into the emotional undercurrents your dream presents.
